1990

ACU received gifts in development campaigns amounting to $30 million during "Advancing the Changeless" in 1993-96 and $114 million in "To Lead and To Serve" in 1996-2000.

Lewis Fulks began the annual summer Shakespeare Festival by staging Othello in the amphitheater. Today, the festival is performed in the Williams Performing Arts Center.

 

1992

Dr. Royce Money, 48-year-old Bible professor and licensed family therapist,  took office June 1, 1991. ACU attracted students from all 50 states and 60 nations and endeavored to take its place as a national leader in Christian higher education.

 

1994

On April 14, President Money switched places with a student for a day, establishing the annual President-for-a-Day/Student-for-a-Day exchange. This first year Ann Francis, freshman communication disorders major, presided over a meeting of the university's vice presidents and students during which they discussed student concerns.

 

1999

In November, the track program was named the "Texas Sports Dynasty of the Century" by Texas Monthly magazine.
