Do you love kids? Do you have a desire to share God's love to those who need it most? Consider joining ACU student organization Treadaway Kids! Our kids need YOU!
Treadaway Kids' mission is to bring the word and love of Jesus to the children of Abilene.
The ministry of sharing Christ's love and lessons each week often deeply affects the lives of the participants (children and ACU members), helping them form strong bonds with one another.
Each week, Treadaway Kid members pick up participating children on Thursday nights throughout the school year and bring them to the designated program location near ACU. Once there, they get time to play together, as well as share in Bible study lessons and other activities for 1-1/2 hours. The children usually come from high-need neighborhoods and are in kindergarten through eighth grade.
ACU Treadaway Kids membership is a one-year commitment. Becoming a member means you truly commit to helping the ministry work effectively and to help mentor, teach and connect with the precious children who attend each week. Even if you do not have a vehicle you can still participate.
You can get on the information email list by sending an email of inquiry to Samantha Manski, advisor of Treadaway Kids, at ssm06a@acu.edu.
