The success of the UIL Regional Spring Meet depends on the cooperation of a number of different people on different levels. This web site is complied for District Directors, school officials, school sponsors, and others on the district and school levels in order to clarify expectations, improve communication, and increase efficiency within working relationship. Its function is to:
- Serve a guide to individual contests that are a part of the Spring Meet
- Provide an overview of the basic procedures to be followed
- Act as a quick reference to finding answers to specific questions that arise.

Information for Speech Contestants:
Each school with a regional meet contestant in any individual event or debate must provide a judge for that event and/or debate. EXAMPLES: Your school has one individual event competitor; you must provide a judge qualified to judge Informative and Persuasive Speaking and Prose and Poetry. Your school has a debater; you must provide a debate judge. Your school has an individual event competitor and a debater; you must provide a judge for each category.
NOTE: Entrants from schools not providing judges will not be allowed to participate in regional.
For each round of competition judges will be considered "Stand By" judges unless they already have been schooled. If they have been schooled, judges should report to the lobby of the Education Building where they will be released when all the rounds are covered.
Judges must submit their name, email address, telephone number, and the area(s) of competition they are most qualified to judge to Suzanne Dickenson at suzanne.dickenson@acu.edu
Judges and schools who have had conflicts in previous competitions should inform the UIL Director so that the judges can be scheduled to events which do not include those schools and competitors.
