Entry Information

Reporting
The District Director will certify all qualifying contestants to the Regional Director by mail (Jerrod Cook, ACU Box 27916, Abilene, Texas 79699) or fax (325-674-6904 or 325-674-6831) or online for all events except One Act Play.

Deadlines

Academic   
Reporting through the online system. 

One Act Play
Deadline for Reporting: Monday, April 7
Note: The district Director must mail entry blank listing winning schools to Regional Director immediately after District contest and prior to Area Contest.The Area Director will later certify the winner of Area contest to the Regional Director by telephone and letter.

Tennis
Deadline for Reporting: Tuesday, April 14
Note: The District Director must mail or fax a certified copy of the district met to the Regional Director. (FAX: 325-674-6904 or 325-674-6831)                             

Golf
Deadline for Reporting: Monday, April 14
Note: Since each district may qualify two singles and two teams to Regional Tournament, entries must show individual scores of both teams and individuals qualifying from the district meet.

Track
Deadline for Reporting:  Tuesday, April 11

Alternates & Substitutions
The objective of alternate procedure is to fill all vacancies and to prevent no-shows.

Qualification
Alternates must have placed runner-up in district.

Notification  
Local school official is responsible for notifying the District Director of any contestant unable to attend the regional competition, as well as for contacting the appropriate alternates.The District Director will then notify the Regional Director regarding the changes.

No-shows
No-shows should be avoided if all possible. The Regional Director will send a list of absent contestants to the state office.

Refunds
There will no refund of entry fees in the case of a withdrawal or no-show.

Academic Team Substitutions
If a member of a school's team is unable to compete, only one substitution may be made. The substitute must give the contest director a letter of substitution form certifying eligibility. If more than one member of a team is unable to compete, the alternate team will advance, following regular alternate procedure.

Collection
The District Meet Director will collect fees from individual schools, then send one check to the Regional Director by Thursday, April 17.

Amount
The total amount is $3,720 plus any one-act plays ($130 each).
The general fee is $10 per contestant per event entered. Exceptions are One Act Play ($130 per play), Team Competitions ($20 per team) except Computer Science team ($20 per person), LD Debate ($20 per contestant), and Golf ($30 green fee plus basic fee per contestant).
