The Spiritual Life Core, a student organization, seeks to present ministry opportunities and experiences that encourage and challenge people in their faith as disciples of Jesus Christ.
"The Spiritual Life Core would like to extend an invitation for students to attend "Come to the Quiet" at 8:45 Sunday evening in Chapel on the Hill. This will be a time of contemplative prayer and worship in the form of a Taize service. Sign-up sheets will be available for those interested in participating in similar gatherings in the future."

Available Ministry Opportunities:
- Prayer and Encouragement Ministry
The Chapel Prayer Room (CPR) Ministry provides a setting in which members of the ACU Community can pray for Chapel and other concerns, as well as be ministered to. Joshua Team (think Joshua and the Israelites vs. Jericho) unites the ACU community in prayer by facilitating specific prayer events, as well as to promoting additional prayer opportunities. The Isaiah 61 Ministry serves as an encouragement and support to members of the ACU community who are encountering significant life events, as well as those who are serving the ACU community.
- Discipleship Ministry
The Plumb Line/Bible Studies Ministry provides a weekly gathering for the purpose of growing in Christ through worship, Bible study, prayer and accountability. The Women’s Ministry encourages and supports women as they minister on the ACU campus. The Men’s Ministry encourages Christian discipleship among men on the ACU campus through accountability and the encouragement to maintain pure lives.
- 3P Ministry (Past, Present, Phuture)
The Historian maintains a record of SLC activities through written and electronic means. The Webmaster utilizes internet technology to promote SLC activities, as well as to serve as a resource for help and disciple-making. The logos Ministry promotes students reading God’s word, as well as SLC events.
- Special Events Ministry
The special events ministry connects students with each other, with the local community, and with resources to assist in their spiritual formation as disciples of Jesus. They do this by hosting “Meet the Churches”, Encouragement Days, “Brown Bags” and “Coffee Houses” (special events for further dialog and learning as they relate to 18:38 Chapel programming, as well as other relevant topics), and SLC Support Ministry.
- Writing/Publications Ministry
Writing/Publications Ministry provides an outlet where students, faculty and staff can produce and publish articles that relate to the Christian life. |
