Service-learning incorporates community work into the curriculum, giving students real-world learning experiences that enhance their academic learning while providing a tangible benefit for the community.

Our Mission

To equip ACU students for the Christ-seeking journey by engaging students in service as a lifestyle.

SLVR is a part of the Center for Christian Service and Leadership which is located in the lower level of the McGlothlin Campus Center.

Our Purpose

  • Guide student involvement in service activities both on and off campus.
  • Train, orient and assist in planning and implementing volunteer, service and service-learning projects.
  • Help students, faculty and staff find ways to serve others.
  • Partner with the faculty to enhance course work through service-learning opportunities.
  • Document student involvement in community service for their Student Service Records.
