for the Food Bank of West Central Texas during Welcome Week. 

That equals an estimated

8,466 meals

94 people eating 3 meals a day for a month! 

Our office is still located in lower level of the McGlothlin Campus Center. 

We are now part of the Center for Christian Service and Leadership and we've changed our name!

OUR MISSION

To engage ACU students in developing service involvement as a lifestyle while meeting the needs of others in the Abilene and surrounding community.

 

The Service-Learning and Volunteer Resources (formerly VSLC) staff:

  • Guides students' involvement in service activities both on and off campus.
  • Trains, orients and assists in planning and implementing volunteer, service and service-learning projects.
  • Helps students, faculty and staff find ways to serve others.
  • Partners with the faculty to enhance course work through service-learning opportunities.
  • Documents student involvement in community service for their Student Service Records.
