Federal Direct PLUS (Parent) Loans
Parents of dependent students may apply for a Direct PLUS Loan. This loan can be used to supplement other financial aid awarded to a student, such as the Direct Stafford Loan. Repayment of the Direct PLUS Loan is not deferrable. Parents must begin repayment within 60 days after the entire loan has been disbursed.
Parents seeking a PLUS Loan fir students enrolling for the 2013-14 academic year may apply after June 15.
Parents seeking a PLUS Loan for students enrolling in the 2012-13 academic year may apply now. Loan applications are available on the Federal Student Aid Web site.
