I’ll never forget the summer of 2007.  The biggest highlight was when I met the girl who would later become my wife at Sharky's Burritos in August.  The beginning of the summer proved to be the start of great things to come.  One afternoon in May, I was driving down 10th street past Chicken Express when I received a phone call from Jeff Arrington offering me the job of Residence Director of Mabee Hall.  I flashed back to my time in Mabee Hall as a freshman in 2001 and couldn’t help but remember the impact my RA, Nathan, had on me and how I wanted to have the same opportunity.  It didn't take me long to accept Jeff's job offer.

Over the next three years, I had the privilege of working with an amazing professional team, many who became lifelong friends and taught me more than they will ever know.  I honestly cannot say enough about the students I served along side of.  They are some of the most selfless and gifted students in the country and it was an honor to lead and learn from them.  If any of you read this entry, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You.

Working for Residence Life helped lay the foundation to my professional future.  Through my education, work experiences, and relationships at ACU, I was able to land a job as the Assistant Dean of Students at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, TX.  It has been an incredible journey and I cannot thank ACU enough for helping me along the way.
