On Campus Advantage and Residence Requirement

The mission of Residence Life Education and Housing is to provide environments that promote students’ spiritual, social, and academic development as they live and learn in community with one another. Living on Campus provides our first- and second-year students with the advantage of living in a residence hall that promotes a Christ-centered atmosphere.

All first- and second-year full-time students are required to reside in residence halls. Research suggests that students who live on campus are more likely to complete their college education, participate in university activities, adjust to new social situations, and develop life-long friendships within the university community. Relationships are built within the residence halls with hall staff and other students that will last a lifetime. Professional residence hall staff are available 24 hours a day/seven days a week to provide our students with assistance and support. Resident Assistants (RAs) act as mentors, friends, and guides through the first two years of life at ACU.
