Essence of Ebony

Mission Statement
To create and maintain a bond of cultural awareness in the community while exemplifying Christian values.  Essence of Ebony endeavors to develop fun and meaningful activities on campus, foster a sense of service and pride by giving to the community and provide a multicultural support system for ACU students.

History
Essence of Ebony was founded by a group of concerned students who wanted to provide aspects of African American culture through a black history program.  The process for the first Black History Production began in December 1996 and the organization later evolved into an official Abilene Christian University student organization.
