As an ACU student, you have many resources at your disposal to help you decide on a career and a major, but it all starts with figuring out who you are: your personality, interests, strengths, values and all of the other things that make you yourself. As that becomes apparent, different careers will start to sound more or less appropriate than others.
How do you start this exploration process? Believe it or not, as a current student at ACU, you have probably already begun the process as a part of The D!scovery Program. But additionally, you have three options available to you:
Meet Individually with a Career Counselor. Individual career counseling is available to all students and is required for all undecided sophomores. More>>
Take a Career Class. You can enroll in a career class to explore what options for majors and careers might be best for you. More>>
Attend Career Development Workshops. We conducts workshops on career development and exploration throughout the school year in which you can learn about your personality, career values and strengths.
In the meantime, you can begin the process on your own by reading about the steps to selecting a major.
