With this program we want to help students avoid selecting a major before spending significant time thinking about it or picking a career just because it pays well. We help students make good decisions so they won't get to medical or law school--or their first job--and realize they chose the wrong career path.
The Discovery Program actively engages students in the process of career development. We believe students need to know their personalities, interests, talents and values; understanding the keys to good decision-making; have specific information about different careers; listen to what God has planned for them; and "try on" different careers before committing to one.
The Discovery Program will help you:
- understand your self (your talents, personality, interests and values),
- understand the world of work,
- effectively engage the decision-making process through combining your knowledge of self and work and
- effectively evaluate your decisions and help ensure you have made the best possible decision.
