Students need to be active and intentional in their pursuit to find a meaningful and satisfying career. There is too much at risk to do otherwise. Deciding what kind of work to pursue is a big decision, one of the biggest students face in their education. This decision seems to be more difficult than ever before, with more students indicating they do not know what career they want to pursue. Did you know that nationally:
- Half of all students change their major at least once.
- More students are entering school undecided on a major.
- Fewer students are graduating in four years.
While research indicates that most students are interested in receiving career development services, these services are often underutilized. Most universities offer a reactive career development approach; the service is waiting for students to access it. ACU's Discovery Program, we believe, is a unique approach to addressing this problem.
