Sanctify Hip Hop Company
|
Mission Statement
“To redeem the image of hip-hop by using our passion for dance to spread the love of our savior, who is Christ.”
History
Sanctify began through Teri Wilkerson in the 2010 fall semester. The Premier show (October 2-3) was themed “Genesis.” Although Sanctify is the youngest group on campus, it has made a huge impact on both alumni's and students' views on hip-hop dancing. Sanctify has performed in Ethnos (or the Culture Show) multiple times and will continue to do so as long as the group is on campus. Sanctify has been asked to be a part of OME, an offer which was gladly accepted, and has been introduced to many opportunities through OME. The hip-hop group has performed in the ACU Homecoming Parade, Omega’s spring show; has performed frequently in the World-Famous Bean, Abilene’s Art walk show, and has the most diverse dance group on campus.
