Preparing Mailings
Bundle, Tray or Sack and Dispatch
These are the final steps in preparing a Presorted First-Class Mail, Standard Mail or Presorted Bound Printed Matter mailing. We have to bundle up the pieces in the proper groups, tray or sack them and then take them to the Business Mail Entry Unit at the Mail Processing Center.
Sort, Count and Documentation
Since our software cannot process Presorted Bound Printed Matter and International Priority Airmail mailings, we have to manually sort the pieces in the proper order required by the Postal Service, count the number of pieces for each ZIP Code or country and prepare the documentation. The bundle, tray or sack and dispatch handling charge also applies to these mailings.
