 Labeling

One up continuous form adhesive labels can be machine applied to mail pieces up to 15 inches wide and 1/8 inch thick. All other labels (including postage stamps) and all other mail pieces will require manual labeling.

 Tabbing

To receive automation discounts, all self-mailers and booklets must be tabbed closed so that the mail pieces can be processed on the Postal Service's high-speed sorting equipment. Depending on the paper weight, size and shape of the mail piece, one or two tabs will be required. The size limit of the mail piece is 15 inches wide and 1/8 inch thick.
