Team Bowling Rules

Rules

  1. Teams should have four bowlers present.  Only four are allowed to bowl in a match.  You can bowl with three, although your three person score will be matched against the four person score of the other team to determine the winner.  Alternates may be used for any match, provided the player is listed on the roster and is eligible to compete.  The same person may not bowl for two teams.  Rosters are limited to six.
  2. Each team member will bowl two games.  The winning team of each match will be determined by number of total pins.
  3. A record sheet for each match must be turned in to the Intramural worker or at the Bowling desk immediately after the match.  The sheet must have the following information:
    • Name of team circled
    • Full name of players and banner ID numbers
    • Date and time of match
    • Total pins scored
    • Opponent’s name and score

Injuries

All injuries must be reported to the Intramural worker immediately.  Each participant is financially responsible for care of personal injury, therefore the Intramural Department urges all participants to either purchase student insurance offered by the school or have coverage by a private policy.  The Intramural Department and Abilene Christian University will not be held responsible for accidents.  YOU PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Awards

Winners or Division I will be awarded championship T-shirts.

Eligibility

Competing with an ineligible player will result in a forfeit and/or disqualification.  Consult the Intramural Handbook for more detailed information concerning player eligibility.

Equipment

Shoes and bowling balls will be provided.
