Roster
- The number of names on a roster is unlimited.
- No one may play unless listed on the roster with ID number and signature.
- A team forfeits any game(s) in which an unlisted player participates.
- Additional names may be added until the end of the first game.
- Any team that forfeits two games will be dropped from competition.
Playing Rules:
Standard high school soccer rules will apply with the following exceptions:
- Five players per team are allowed on the court. No player is allowed to use his hands. (i.e. There is no goal keeper)
- Ten minute halves. The clock only stops for injuries and free kicks.
- No slide tackles; No off sides.
- All penalty kicks are indirect except for those committed inside the 3 point line.
- Direct free kicks will be made from the opposite free throw line at an open goal.
- Players may substitute at any time. Subs must enter only after the player they are replacing has left the floor.
- A team not having at least four players present at game time forfeits.
- In the event of a tie, each team will take three free kicks. If still tied, each team will kick one free kick apiece in a sudden death manner until a winner is named. No player may kick twice in the tiebreaker, unless 4 other kicks have been attempted.
Equipment
- Players on the same team must wear similar colored shirts. No Caps.
- One game ball will be furnished. Balls to warm-up with are the teams’ responsibility.
Injuries
- All injuries must be reported to an Intramural worker immediately.
- Each participant is financially responsible for care of personal injury.
- The Intramural Sports Department urges all participants to either purchase student insurance offered by ACU or have coverage by a private policy.
- The Intramural Sports Department and Abilene Christian University will not be held responsible for accidents. YOU PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Eligibility
- Competing with an ineligible player will result in a forfeit and/or disqualification.
- No team may have more than two members of the ACU Soccer Club on the floor at any time.
