Why are Student Employees paid by Direct Deposit?

ACU has successfully provided Direct Deposit for Faculty & Staff for the last 10 years. We are now delighted to offer Direct Deposit to Student Employees. Students who are employed by ACU will need to sign up for Direct Deposit in Human Resources, AD 213.

Why is Direct Deposit so great?

1. Direct Deposit will provide a reduction in Error Rate.

That means employees have less problems on payday.

2. We can save the Rainforest.

Well, ok, maybe not the whole rainforest, but 850 student checks twice a week is a lot of paper.

3. Direct Deposit gives ACU a way to pay employees faster, cheaper, and more efficiently.

There will no longer be a need for mailing paychecks home on breaks, no more holding checks in departments until employees are able to pick them up, no more confusion as to where the check went if employees work in multiple locations, etc; and from a labor stand point Direct Deposit provides cost savings for the university.

Students who have not enrolled in Direct Deposit must bring a picture ID & pick up their checks in Human Resources Office, AD 213, on payday.

Students who have not signed up for Direct Deposit will be issued Purple Power Cards for their pay instead of a paper check. The Purple Power Card will be like a debit card and will be credited in the amount of the employee's paycheck.
