U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card

Driver's license or I.D. card issued by State or outlying possession of the U.S. provided it contains a photograph or information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address.

U.S. Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration. (The document cannot say "Does not authorize employment in the U.S.)

Foreign passport that contains a temporary I-551 stamp or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine-readable immigrant visa (MRIV) 

I.D. card issued by federal, state, or local government agencies or entities provided it contains a photograph or information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color, and address.

Certification of Birth Abroad issued by the U.S. Department of State. (Form FS-545)

Permanent Resident Card or Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551).

School I.D. card with photograph.

Original or certified copy of a birth certificate issued by a state, county, municipal authority or outlying possession of the U.S. bearing an official seal.

Employment Authorization Document (Card) that contains a photograph (Form I-766)

U.S. Military card or draft record.

Voter's Registration Card.

Employment authorization document issued by the INS (other than those listed under List A)

 

Military dependent's I.D. card.

Native American Tribal Document.

 Native American Tribal Document.

ID Card for use of Resident Citizen in the U.S. (Form I-179)

We cannot accept facsimiles of these documents or copies (unless they are certified). All I-9's are to be completed in Human Resources on the first day of employment.
