The mission of the Abundant Life program at ACU is to develop a community culture of wellness that educates by modeling and teaching, and emphasizes an abundant life that encompasses mind, body and spirit.  The inspiration for the program comes from John 10:10, in which Jesus states, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

The current Abundant Life program year ended Aug. 31, 2008. The Abundant Life program will take a "sabbatical" during fall 2008 so that we can step back, evaluate the program, and then be able to make changes for calendar year 2009 that will continue to grow the program and make it more meaningful for you. We will send more information out in December regarding the program that will begin Jan. 1, 2009 and run through Dec. 31, 2009.

Although there will be no point accumulation for Sept. 1-Dec. 31, 2008, we encourage you to continue taking care of your physical, mental and spiritual health during this time. You can begin recording points again on Feb. 1-8, 2009 for the month of January, 2009.

Hendrick Corporate Wellness will be on campus Jan. 26-30, 2009. During that time you can complete the Personal Wellness Profile. Please feel free to send any questions or suggestions to abundantlife@acu.edu. Thank you!

Why participate?

The program for faculty and staff is fun and educational, and serves as a great way to hold yourself more accountable to improving your physical, mental and spiritual health.  Research shows that as we grow in these areas, we will have more energy, be more alert, feel better and continue to learn and grow in our walk with Christ.  There are also rewards for the program.
