Welcome to the Financial Operations website!  I hope you take advantage of the services and information available on this site.  Our role in the finance division is to serve as a “partner in successful management” to the faculty and staff who serve our students, their families, alumni, donors and friends of ACU.  

Abilene Christian University’s financial strategy focuses on three primary objectives:  to adequately support current academic programs, to ensure the affordability of an ACU education and to protect the long-term financial strength and stability of the institution.

Each of these goals competes with the other two for funds from the university budget, creating a need for balance.  For example, excessive focus on providing resources for desired programs could drive tuition prices up rapidly, jeopardizing affordability, or excessive current spending could prevent us from living within our means and threaten long-term financial stability.  Our task is to strategically align these competing agendas.

Aligning resources to programs and initiatives consistent with our mission and valuable to our students is crucial to our ability to flourish in competitive environments.  We recognize that the ACU mission of educating students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world is unique to us. 

We are grateful for the blessings God has bestowed upon ACU and proud of what has been accomplished.  However, the future will surely deliver its own set of challenges.  If we are to accomplish our mission, ACU students must receive the highest quality Christian education, delivered by accomplished scholars, and complimented by state-of-the-art technology and learning facilities.
