Phil serves as Executive Vice President for ACU.  He is responsible for the oversight of the following areas: Financial Accounting and Reporting, Budgeting and Planning, Human Resources, Physical Plant, Auxiliaries, Student Financial Services and Information Technology.  He is a member of the President's Cabinet and serves as a primary liaison to the board of trustees.

Phil began his career at ACU in 1993 as the Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and became the Director of Student Financial Services in 1995.  He was named Director of Financial Operations in 1997, Chief Financial Officer in 1999, VP for Finance and Administration in 2001 and Executive Vice President in 2007.  Prior to his career with ACU, Phil was an experienced staff accountant for Arthur Andersen and Company in Dallas.

Phil graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA in Accounting from ACU in 1991 and with an MBA from Duke University in 2006.  He is also a CPA.

Phil was born in Oklahoma City and raised in Houston.  Phil currently lives in Abilene with his wife Jamie and their three children: Sydnie, Mason and Ella.
