Mary Caton

Mary Caton came to ACU in May 2010 following 26 years of employment with Associated Publishing Company, a Hearst Corporation Subsidiary, in Abilene.  She now serves as Executive Assistant to Kelly L. Young, Chief Financial Officer.  During the years at Associated Publishing Company, Mary developed and implemented processes and procedures for telephone directory production and business work flow processes which utilized emerging technologies to create seamless production across multiple platforms.  She worked as data manager, production operations manager, and production director.  When the production moved to New York, she worked with the transition team and continued to work as a project manager in areas of distribution and business operations.

She received a BSHE in Education from ACU and subsequently taught high school students for four years.  Mary has served the community of Abilene with the Chamber of Commerce, United Way and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Her past experience and skills are a compliment to Kelly’s roles.

Mary and husband, Richard (Butch) have two children Garrick Caton (’97), married to Angela Barton Caton (’02), and Richelle Caton Cloud (’07) who is married to JB Cloud.  Mary and Butch have 5 grandchildren.
