Love One Another As You Love Yourself

February 25-27, 2008 

 

Sacred Relationships Week (SRW) is a time dedicated to putting Jesus in all relationships.  The week kicks off with guest speaker, Don McLaughlin, in Monday's chapel discussing the topic of "Love One Another As Yourself." Students, faculty and staff can participate in all the SRW activities, attend chapel for spiritual growth and self-reflection. See details of activities and locations below.

Monday, February 25

     "Who Told You You are Naked?"

Don McLaughlin from North Atlanta Church of Christ will speak on the week's theme Love One Another as Yourself. Don't miss out on a special worship time with one of the most engaging speakers! 

   

 Monday, February 25   

     "What Does the Music Say?"

     6:30 p.m. Concert       William Performing Arts

Live Music and engaging conversation. Two bands: Barry Smith, urban hip hop gospel, and Look to the Sky, Christian alternative, will be live in concert amidst discussion led by Matt Worthington and Don McLaughlin on themes found in music relating relationships.     

 

Tuesday, February 26

     "The Cheers and Jeers of Relationships Throughout Life"

     7:00 - 8:00 p.m.         Women in Hart Auditorium       Men in Chapel on the Hill

     Chapel Forum: 2 Credits

Peer Health Education and Counseling Center will co-host two open and honest panel discussions at the same time. There will be a panel of male speakers for men only and a panel of female speakers for women. The panelists will be speaking about the different stages of life and relationships. There will be panelists with varying relational and life experiences, speaking to the joys and struggles of different types of relationships throughout the lifespan. This is your opportunity to ask the hard questions from people with diversified relational backgrounds.

Come join the Counseling Center, Peer Health Education and others as we celebrate Sacred Relationships Week in gaining information and participating in fun activities that remind us to Love One Another as You Love Yourself. Find out information and participate in activities about relationships of all kinds: mentoring women-to-women, spiritual, friendships and romantic.
