Kyle Corbin ('14) | Accounting/Finance
Extracurricular activities/organizations: Sub T-16, LYNAY
Favorite courses: I have really enjoyed learning about the stock markets and the principles of investing money in the finance courses. I also loved taking Business Law I & II with Andy Little.
Biggest surprise about ACU: I was highly surprised at how incredible and helpful the professors are here at ACU.
Advice to incoming students: My advice to incoming students is study hard, don't procrastinate, meet new people and make new friends, exercise regularly, work hard at everything you do. Make the best of your college experience because it will be over sooner than think!
Why did you decide to come to ACU?
If you had asked me where I was going to go to college in high school, I never in a million years would have told you ACU. My original plan was to attend Texas Tech, but God had other plans for me. I came to ACU to continue running a lawn company that I started in high school, and to receive a business degree from a well-recognized school. I am so excited and thankful for this change in plans, because I never would have met the friends I have now or had the experience I received here.
How has ACU prepared you academically for your future?
The College of Business Administration has prepared me academically to be an ethical and knowledgeable businessman, and will help me excel and be successful in my future career.
How has your experience at ACU impacted you?
ACU has greatly influenced my faith and the person I have become. The values instilled at ACU have helped me become a better person and stronger Christian.
What have you gained through your involvement with LYNAY?
Although I didn’t join LYNAY until my junior year, LYNAY has taught me how to be a better leader and to work hard in everything I do. LYNAY also gave me the opportunity to meet great people that I otherwise probably would not have met.
What do you hope to do after graduation?
After graduation I plan on attending graduate school at ACU to receive my master's in accounting.
