Biggest surprise about ACU:  Considering the small town, there are so many productive things to get involved with here at ACU. Just like anything you get out what you put in, so you have to be willing to put yourself out there.

You might also like to know: I will be the first person in my family to graduate college.

Advice to incoming students:  My advice to incoming students would be to get involved. There are so many activities on and off campus to take advantage of.

Why did you decide to come to ACU?

I heard about ACU through my church back home, and when I visited I fell in love with the university. The people were so welcoming and excited that I was thinking of attending the school, the campus was gorgeous, they had so many activities that I would be interested in, and as a bonus, I would be surrounded by people with similar beliefs.

How has ACU prepared you academically for your future?

The teachers here have given me that one-on-one attention and helped mold me, so after graduation I will know how to handle anything that life throws at me.

How has your experience at ACU impacted you?

ACU has taught me how to balance the expected with the unexpected. There are so many things in life that happen unexpectedly, but that's when you learn how to turn it over to God and let him guide you. Through my experience at ACU, I have learned how to love myself and trust in God in all of my endeavors.

What have you gained through your involvement with LYNAY?

LYNAY has allowed me to have a second family with people from all over the world. Through LYNAY I have learned how to get out of my comfort zone and how to be a better leader. Listening to the different speakers you learn so much, and it makes you want to go out and achieve something great so one day you can tell someone your story.

What do you hope to do after graduation?

Attend UNT in the spring for a master's in Strategic Management.
