Alumni Conference Room | Hunter Welcome Center, 2nd floor
Description
Join us to learn about a post-graduate opportunity with a prestigious program where your skills can be used to make an impact on the future of your career and our country. Teach For America is a national organization that recruits outstanding leaders to teach for two years in schools where these skills are greatly needed. This post-graduate job opportunity is open to all academic majors and career aspirations, and it provides a full salary ($37,000-$50,000 depending on location) and benefits.
Our program is nationally recognized by all of the top law schools, grad schools and other top employers which is why they seek out our alumni for their programs and positions. Teach For America exists because of the harsh reality that not every child in America has access to an equal education, with this distinction falling strikingly along racial and socioeconomic lines. In fact, by the time low-income students reach fourth grade, they are already two to three grades behind their higher-income peers.
Jessica Gasper, who taught with Teach For America in Baltimore, will host an information session to tell you more about the program – why we exist, our benefits, how to be successful in the application process and more. You are invited to join us and hear about Jessica’s experience, find out how the program could benefit you, and get all of your questions answered.
