The information and links below include instructions and guidelines for communication through several tools available on campus for students and employees including myACU and VideoNet/SATV. Mass emails are not a means for communicating announcements but are for emergency purposes only.

Please read the information and follow the links in order to better fulfill requests for posting and communicating announcements.


Announcements - myACU

MyACU has several tools in order to communicate announcements, upcoming events, and other information for students and employees.

Announcements Channel - the announcements channel contains opportunities for users to subscribe and unsubscribe from topics and announcements to be posted according to their topic. If you are interested in learning more about creating a new topic, contact announce@acu.edu.

Guidelines and Request Forms for Employee myACU Announcements

Classifieds - All users have access to post items on the classifieds channel ("Community" tab of myACU). Items are organized by type including job opportunities or selling services.

Calendars - the ACU events calendar is maintained by the Campus Center Information Desk. Currently, the ACU events calendar is not located in myACU, but is available through the "Calendars" link of the ACU Home page. Events pertaining to the majority of ACU students, faculty or staff can be submitted through the WebEvent calendar system online.


Announcements - VideoNet/SATV

Channel 24 is an effective way to communicate in video and sound to the ACU community. The VideoNet system broadcasts on campus including televisions in the Campus Center. VideoPosters are created to broadcast announcements, shows, and other entertaining projects across campus.

Prayer Requests

Prayer requests from students are posted on myACU for community access in the announcements channel of myACU. Employee prayer requests are also availble in the announcements channel of myACU.

Students, faculty and staff are able to post prayer requests using the Prayer Request announcement topic on myACU. Student requests are subject to approval before actual posting. Prayer requests are also accepted through email: prayer@acu.edu , or by contacting Campus Life by calling 325.674.2067.


Chapel Celebrations & Announcements

A short time each Monday in Chapel is dedicated for community celebrations where accomplishments and events of the past week are honored by the Chapel presider. These should not be confused with upcoming event announcements.

Requests for Celebrations to be included in Chapel must be submitted in writing no later than 9:30 a.m. on Mondays. These should be submitted to chapel@acu.edu . Celebrations used in Chapel are chosen at the discretion of Campus Life.
