Undeclared Academic Advising

We serve as the home academic department for students who are still deciding on their major.  We assist them in building their class schedule each semester to ensure that they select classes which are applicable to a wide range of majors. We work with these students to help them to understand their gifts and abilities and connect them to resources on campus to assist them in their selection of an appropriate major.

All undeclared students are required to meet with an academic advisor in the Academic Development Center. The Academic Development Center contacts undeclared students via e-mail a few weeks before registration to schedule advising appointments. During this appointment, you will have the opportunity to discuss class choices for the upcoming semester and you will receive your advising release code, which is required to register online.
