This celebration takes the place of the Senior Dinner, which has been the Friday night alumni event in year's past.
Dress is casual. The Abilene weather in May is unpredictable, so check weather.com prior to the event so you'll know if you'll need a jacket or umbrella. In case of rain, dinner will be in The Bean and the celebration event will be in Moody Coliseum.
Faculty and graduation candidates are asked to wear their robes only during the grand processional.
Dinner is FREE for graduation candidates, faculty, staff and their families. Please register your family with the online registration form so we’ll know how many to expect. Register now.
A detailed program will be distributed at the event. Please refer to the map in the program for specific information and water stations, which will be set up throughout the mall area. Restrooms will be marked in designated buildings – please refer to the program for these locations.
If you have questions at the event, please look for ACU volunteers in purple staff T-shirts.
Photography and video taping are welcome during Graduation Celebration.
Seating for elderly and those with physical limitations will be available. If you have disabled or elderly guests who might have difficulty walking, golf cart shuttles will be on hand to take guests to their seats after dinner. Designated seats will be marked for guests with physical limitations.
This is a celebration for graduation candidates and their families. Beach balls, bubble guns, silly string and other festive items are okay to bring to this event! We do ask you to be respectful and refrain from using these items during certain parts of the program, such as the prayer of blessing, guest speaker, etc.
Parking will be available in the lot west of the Brown Library, in the Campus Center parking lot between the tennis courts and the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Buidling, and in the lot between Edwards and Mabee Halls.
