CareerLink
CareerLink is a great online networking service. Alumni can use
CareerLink to serve as a mentor to current students and to have their
resume or profile available for employers to search for potential
employees. Employers can post current job openings, search alumni and
student profiles and resumes, and create on-campus interview
schedules. The Career Center encourages alumni interested in
short-term or ongoing student mentoring to use CareerLink in this
manner. Setting up your CareerLink account is FREE!
Alumni Career Profiles
For those who have completed an alumni career profile, they have been moved to CareerLink where they will still be used by freshmen and sophomores who haven't decided on a major. If you want to update or change your profile, you have a CareerLink account, which is your firstname.lastname (all lowercase), and the password is "password" (For example: sam.houston). Once you access your account, you are encouraged to change your password.
If you haven't completed a career profile, we invite you to share your experiences about various industries and jobs, along with what it takes to be a Christian practitioner. The profiles will be used by students in the Discovery program and in University Seminar (U100), which is required of all incoming students. Outside sources will not have access to your information.
Read samples of career profiles from other alums, then set up a CareerLink account to complete an alumni career profile of your own.
Career Connections
The Alumni Relations Office works closely with the Career Center to
provide alumni with additional networking and job opportunities,
including job and resume posting, and alumni-to-alumni connections.
