WACU History

In 1969, 30 women founded Women for ACU as an opportunity for women graduates, faculty, staff and others with a love for Abilene Christian to advance the university. The Board of Trustees gave WACU the Jennings House on the corner of E.N. 16th and Campus Court to serve as the organization's headquarters.

Through the years, WACU has funded a variety of campus enhancements and scholarships for some of ACU's best students.
