ACU Alumni Chorus

The purpose of the Abilene Christian University Alumni Chorus is to

promote our vocal traditions and heritage, extend to all the goodwill

of Abilene Christian University and its Alumni, and to render services

to ACU and its Choral Division.  This mission is defined by our slogan: 

We also promote fellowship among the friends and former members of ACU's A Cappella and other singing groups of the Choral Division  through biennial reunions.  Since 1989 these reunions have been the launching pad for a new tradition of continuous musical fellowship and making recordings that demonstrate the beauty and blend of a cappella singing for the participants, and sublime listening enjoyment for those who purchase our CDs.  In addition, it is our desire to stimulate interest in Abilene Christian University among interested graduates of secondary and preparatory school music programs across America and the world. 

The ACU Alumni Chorus is the major activity of the ACU Choral Society. More than $30,000 in scholarship money has been contributed to the Choral Department of the university since this series of recordings was begun.   

     

Donations to the Choral Society and proceeds from sales of CDs are primarily devoted to vocal scholarships at ACU.
