Sidney (Schuhmann ’99) Levesque is the senior project research officer in the Advancement Office. She provides background information on individuals, corporations and foundations who might be interested in supporting ACU programs.

Sidney earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from ACU and is a member of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement, or APRA. Before coming to work for her alma mater in 2009, Sidney spent 10 years at the Abilene Reporter-News as a reporter then editor. Her husband, George, is news director and news anchor at KTXS-TV.

Sidney and George have one child, Julia. They are involved in the local theater scene, and Sidney is a former board member of the Abilene Preservation League; she has been an avid genealogist since age 13.
