Abilene Christian University is committed to biblical principles.
The university was established in 1906 by members of the Churches of Christ and has been closely affiliated with this body for a century. ACU is an institution of higher learning, and the education we provide is grounded in core Christian values. We affirm the central authority of the Bible, which we believe to be the fully inspired Word of God.
We believe a Christian education is not a few Bible classes tacked onto your child's degree. It is a total integration of faith and learning. Our students have numerous opportunities to put their faith into action. They are active in local congregations and participate side by side with faculty and staff in such programs as Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity.
Our students, faculty and staff have high moral values and distinctive ethics. The Christian atmosphere at ACU encourages quiet talks with friends, small group Bible studies, lifelong friendships and dynamic spiritual growth to equip your child to make a difference with his or her faith.
At ACU, we believe that Christianity is the context for life and that education is not complete without a Christian emphasis. ACU is different because it attracts students who believe spiritual growth is important.
