Submit your housing and roommate preference.
Abilene Christian University is a residential university requiring single students to live on campus during their first two years (four long semesters). To live off campus, students must obtain permission from Residence Life Education and Housing. Students automatically eligible to live off campus are:

  • Students living with parents.
  • Students taking fewer than 12 hours.
  • Students 21 years of age before the beginning of the fall semester or students who have been out of high school for at least two years.
  • Students who have lived four long semesters in residence halls

If you are 21 or older or have been out of high school for more than two years, you are eligible to live off-campus or in on-campus apartments. Information about these apartments can be found at If you want to live in these apartments, we can reserve a space for you and it will be ready when you arrive. Please just e-mail us at and tell us which type of apartment you would like (efficiency, two-bedroom or four-bedroom) and any roommate preferences you may have.

Passport Registration, our mandatory new student orientation.
As an incoming student, you are required to attend the August Passport session -- August 16-18 -- that will be filled with many informative sessions and an opportunity to finalize your class schedule, receive academic advising, complete placement testing and meet lots of faculty members and other new students. Many of the people you meet during Passport and Welcome Week (immediately following Passport) are likely to become your lifelong friends. So, even though it's "required" that you attend, it's fun.

Your New Student Guidebook will describe Passport and many other important parts of getting started at ACU. Registration for Passport is open on April 15th, and you may register online on myACU (
