Complete the FAFSA Form (www.fafsa.ed.gov)
FAFSA stands for FREE Application for Federal Student Aid. Therefore, please do not pay an organization or an individual to complete this form. By completing this form, you are applying for any federal, state, or university aid that may be available to you based on your financial need, which is determined by the FAFSA form. Completing the FAFSA is the only way to apply for federal or state grant money (money that does not have to be paid back) and low-interest rate federal or state loans. Every family who completes this form and notates that they are interested in student loans will at least qualify for $5500 of unsubsidized Stafford loan money for their student.

*Note: There are misleading websites for the FAFSA. Please be sure you visit the exact website above.

To begin: Please visit the FAFSA website and register for a PIN number.  Your PIN will be provided instantly and then you may log in and complete the actual form. Please keep your pin number in a safe place, as ACU employees cannot access your pin number for you. When you have submitted the form online, a copy of your Student Aid Report (a report summarizing your financial need) will be sent to you and ACU. *Note: The only way for ACU to receive your Student Aid Report is for you to list ACU as a receiving school on the FAFSA form. School code: 003537

If you would like to fill out a paper worksheet before completing the online version, you may print out a "FAFSA on the Web Worksheet" from the FAFSA site. *Note: ACU encourages families to complete the FAFSA online. Online versions save your information from year to year and take 2-3 days to process. Paper versions take 6-8 weeks to process.

Should you have any questions regarding the FAFSA form, FAFSA pin number, or FAFSA website, please contact the US Department of Education at 1-800-4-FED-AID.
