Eligibility Requirements for Presidential Scholars

ACU offers a limited number of Presidential Scholar Awards for the 2010-11 academic year. To be eligible for a Presidential Scholarship, prospective recipients must meet these requirements:

Full-tuition: SAT combined total of 1360 or higher on the math and critical reading sections only (excluding the writing section). Combined total must be from one test date. ACT composite score of 31 or above.
Half-tuition: SAT combined total of 1210-1350 on the math and critical reading sections only (excluding the writing section). Combined total must be from one test date. ACT composite score of 27-30. Official copies of raised test scores must be submitted to the ACU Office of Admissions no later that March 1, 2010. Students are invited to take the residual ACT on our campus, as subject to available seats. (In most cases, students receive their test scores within 30 minutes of completing the ACT) For ACU test dates and reservations.
• Provide a high school transcript with a minimum GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 scale) through junior year.
• Display qualities of service, leadership and good moral character.
• Be a new, undergraduate student to ACU with no more than 14 transferable semester college hours (excluding CLEP, advanced placement credit and dual-credit).
• Complete your admission file by ACU’s Presidential Scholarship consideration deadline on January 15. ACU will review files and send notification of admission on or before February 1.
• Submit the Presidential Scholar Award Application package postmarked by January 15.

• If you are selected to interview, you must attend a personal interview day on the ACU campus. Parents also are encouraged to visit the campus during the interview process.
