  • Deadlines represent risk dates. Students who apply after these dates may find they are eligible, but will not be awarded grants due to limited funding (except for Pell Grants).

Texas Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG)

Who

Undergraduate or graduate students with demonstrated need. Must be a Texas resident.

How Much

Up to $3,444 per academic year. Subject to availability of funds.

While pursuing a degree.

How to Apply

Complete FAFSA annually.

Deadline

March 1.

Other

Non-repayable aid. Must be a Texas resident. Cannot be a recipient of an athletics scholarship or be enrolled in a theological degree program.

Federal Pell Grant

Who

Undergraduates with demonstrated need.

How Much

Up to $4,050 per academic year, as determined by federal allocation.

How Long

While pursuing first undergraduate degree.

How to Apply

Complete FAFSA annually.

Deadline

March 1.

Other

Non-repayable aid. Amount based on federal guidelines and allocations.

Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Who

Undergraduates with demonstrated need. Must be a Pell Grant recipient.

Up to $3,000 per academic year. Subject to availability of funds.

How Long

While pursuing first undergraduate degree (excluding BAS students).

How to Apply

Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership (LEAP)

Who

Undergraduates with demonstrated need. Must be a TEG recipient.

Up to $1,250 per academic year. Subject to availability of funds. Paid in spring semester only.
