Real-World Experience
- Supervised internships are available in selected social service agencies.
- Many students are involved in global service organizations such as Falon Gong Human Rights Working Group, Product Red, ONE campaign, Shoes for Tomorrow, Fair Trade, International Justice Mission, Amnesty International, and more.
- The Non-Profit Management Center, located on the ACU campus, provides educational conferences, publications, funding resource library, training, consultation and resources for non-profits and their leaders.
- ACU's program is recognized by the Council on Social Work
Education for being “uniquely and well conceptualized”
curriculum and having “strong and unified faculty.”
- A five-year program is available in which students complete B.S.W. and M.S.W. degrees.
- The undergraduate social work program is nationally accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

Community service, including work with Hispanic immigration, aging, religion and social work practice, leadership development among black women, urban studies, and child and family service. - The department includes eight faculty members with four doctorates.
