Real-World Experience
- ACU's Study Abroad site in Montevideo, Uruguay, is an excellent opportunity for first-hand cultural and language learning.
- Classes are taught with a strong oral emphasis, essentially using the foreign language to converse.
- "The Parlor" is a center for cross-cultural interaction and
world-wide information access, an area dedicated to personal interaction with students from many cultures. Enhancements include computers, VCR/televisions (with cable) and audio equipment to be used in conjunction with an extensive collection of video and audio tapes.
Exceptional Degrees
- Students are prepared for careers in teaching, international business, government service, mission work, marketing and bilingual services.
- Recent foreign language graduates are high school Spanish teachers, college professors, translators, and business professionals with organizations such as World Relief International, Eurocopter and more.
- Distinguished alumni include Ken Cukrowski, associate dean of the ACU Graduate School of Theology; Sherry Bennett Farris, Bible translator in Guinea, West Africa; and April Ewing McBride, professor of spanish at Baylor University.
