Real-World Experience
- Facilities include the Voice Institute of West Texas, an internationally recognized voice laboratory providing services for ACU students/faculty and the Abilene community.
- Starting during the junior year, undergraduates partner with graduate students to meet with clients from the local community twice per week.
- Service-learning is a key focus of the program, through programs such as King David's Kids, a ministry sponsored by the department to help families of children with developmental disabilities.
Exceptional Degrees
- Discover careers in hospitals, acute care, home health care, rehabilitation clinics, public/private schools, university clinics and more.
- Ninety-three percent of students pass the National Examination in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology on their first attempt -- compared to the national average of 77 percent. One-hundred percent of graduates are in graduate school or employed six months after commencement.
- The graduate program is nationally accredited from the Council on Academic Accreditation from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
