Real-World Experience
- Students have the opportunity to participate in the Study Abroad Global Apprentice Program in Oxford, England. In addition to 6 hours of course credit, students work with the non-profit company OXFAM while competing for scholarships and an internship.
- Leadership Summit, a short course offered in Colorado, provides dynamic speakers, practical application, skill building and spiritual development.
- Even before graduation, students have real-world investing opportunities. Through ACU's STAR (Student Research and Training) Fund, 13 students and three faculty members manage an investment fund of more than $300,000, buying and selling stocks to manage the portfolio. The fund provides scholarships to students in COBA.
Exceptional Degrees
- ACU's College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International, the highest accreditation body for schools of business. Of the more than 2,000 institutions in the world offering business degrees, only 450 have AACSB accreditation.
- Students taking the CPA test at ACU pass at a rate of more than twice the national average on their first attempt.
- A degree in accounting or finance can lead to careers in corporate accounting, financial institutions, industrial firms, public accounting, education and governmental/non-profit services.
- Recent graduates have been employed by companies such as Procter & Gamble, Burlington Northern, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Southwest Airlines and many more.
- Among the many distinguished Department of Accounting and Finance alumni are Craig Stone, partner, Ernst & Young; Bruce Huff, CFO, Harken Energy Corporation; and Holt Lunsford, president, The Holt Company.

- Collectively, faculty in the Department of Accounting and Finance have more than 100 years of professional experience outside the classroom.
- College of Business Administration faculty have significant industry experience with companies such as Conoco, Marathon, Lockheed Martin, Ford Motor Company and every major accounting firm in the nation.
