Contributing Writer
Candy (Holcombe) Reagan serves as a contributing writer.
A native of Karnes City, Reagan graduated from ACU in 1988 with a B.A. in journalism. After an internship at the Christian Chronicle in Edmond, Okla., she returned to Abilene, where she spent eight years working for the Abilene Reporter-News as a reporter, night editor, city editor, coordinator of audiotext services and manager of Special Sections. She won awards from the Texas State Teachers Association, the American Heart Association and the Associated Press and served on her company's steering committee for quality control.
She resigned in 1996 to be a full-time mother. She continues to write a weekly sports column for the Reporter-News and does freelance feature writing and editing.
She is married to Danny and has three children, Ryan, Liz and Desiree, and a stepson, Nick.
