Deana Nall
Contributing Writer

Deana (Hamby) Nall is a contributing writer for
ACU Today and works as a freelance writer for a number of publications.
For four years, Nall wrote feature stories and a weekly opinion column for
The Baytown Sun
in Baytown, Texas. In 2002, she placed in the Texas Associated Press
Managing Editors General Column Writing contest in the Class AA
division.
Nall earned her B.A. in journalism from ACU in 1994.
During her two years as senior staff writer and one year as managing
news editor of the
Optimist, she won the Best Management
Board Rookie, Best Columnist and Best Section Editor awards. She also
spent one year as editor of the
Prickly Pear yearbook, for which she received the Vonda Deitz Award.
Nall
now lives in the Little Rock, Ark., area where her husband, Chad ('94),
is the youth and family minister at Little Rock Church. They have two
daughters, Julia and Jenna.
