Ben Hernandez

Graphic Designer


Ben Hernandez is a graphic designer in ACU's Creative Services Office.

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, where his parents were missionaries, Hernandez later moved to Abilene and then Austin. He attended ACU and graduated in 2006 with a B.F.A. in art with emphasis in graphic design. He was involved in the music department, playing in the ACU Big Purple Band, Jazz Band and Jazz Combo. Hernandez also was involved in FilmFest, Sing Song and other student productions at ACU.

As a student, Hernandez was design editor for the Prickly Pear yearbook in 2004 and held several other graphic design-related positions on campus. He has won various awards for his work including a gold Addy award in 2005 from the American Advertising Federation. His magazine design work won first place in 2008 regional competition from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).

He is interested in music and cinema and has been involved in the production of several short films and music videos.
