Tom has more than 11 years experience as a commercial and freelance photographer, and more than 15 years experience as a photojournalist, writer and editor in the newspaper industry. He has provided photographic documentary coverage for overseas mission trips to Jamaica, Guatemala and Bosnia.

His interest in photography began in his teen years, whenhe received an underwater camera as a high schoolgraduation gift while living in Turkey, where he became an avid scuba diver. This interest led him to WesternKentucky University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in photojournalism.

Since that time, Dekle's photographic journey has included newspaper photojournalism, corporate, tourism and travel photography. Prioro to moving to Texas two years ago, Tom worked as a photographer for the state of Tennessee.

HIs freelance photography clients represent a wide variety of business areas including higher education, architecture, hospitality, marketing, advertising, medicine and manufacturing.

Dekle's photographs have been published in numerous publications includign Tennessee Vacation Guide, TItans Insider, Fly Fishing, Woman's World and Kentucky Monthly. He has won several CASE awards for his work for ACU.
