Alpha Scholars Program is the umbrella name for two distinct but related programs: Student Support Services, a federally funded TRiO program, and Abilene Christian University's Student Disability Services. Student Support Services serves 200 students each year with such services as individualized tutoring; personal, academic and career coaching; or assistance in applying for financial aid. Student Disability Services assists students with disabilities in obtaining appropriate academic accommodations. All Alpha students may receive assessments of their individual learning styles and study habits with recommendations for adapting study methods to their unique learning characteristics. All services are provided at no additional cost to students.
